Teaching Series
At Priceville Baptist Church, we love studying God’s Word together. Each season, our church family explores a new teaching series designed to strengthen faith, deepen understanding, and encourage everyday application of Scripture.
Right now, we’re walking through two meaningful series—one on Sunday mornings and one on Wednesday evenings.
Sunday Morning Series: The Prison Letters
Our current Sunday morning sermon series focuses on the Prison Epistles—Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, and Philemon. Written by the Apostle Paul while he was in prison, these letters overflow with truth, encouragement, and hope.
Together, we’re discovering what it means to live out our faith with confidence and joy, no matter our circumstances. Through this series, we’re:
Deepening our understanding of Christian identity and who we are in Christ.
Learning to stay faithful and joyful even in difficult times.
Exploring the power of unity, love, and forgiveness in the body of Christ.
Growing in spiritual maturity by putting off the old self and putting on the new.
Understanding the supremacy and sufficiency of Christ in all things.
Cultivating a life of prayer and thanksgiving, even in hardship.
Equipping ourselves for spiritual warfare through the armor of God.
Embracing humility and servanthood, following the example of Christ.
Applying the gospel to everyday life and relationships.
Finding lasting joy and contentment in Jesus, regardless of our circumstances.
Each message aims to help us live out the gospel practically, drawing strength and joy from our relationship with Christ.
Wednesday Evening Series: Old Testament Highlights
Our Wednesday evening gatherings are focused on surveying key moments and themes throughout the Old Testament. This study connects ancient stories to modern faith, helping us see how God’s hand has always been at work.
As we explore these highlights, we’re:
Gaining a fuller picture of God’s character—His holiness, justice, mercy, and grace.
Seeing God’s sovereignty in the rise and fall of nations and the unfolding of history.
Tracing how the Old Testament lays the groundwork for the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Learning from powerful examples of faith, obedience, and human weakness.
Strengthening our faith through fulfilled prophecy and dependable promises.
Building a biblical worldview shaped by God’s truth.
Celebrating God’s covenant faithfulness to His people.
Finding hope and perseverance through the stories of God’s deliverance.
Deepening our worship and prayer through Old Testament writings.
Strengthening our foundation for teaching, discipleship, and everyday faith.
This series helps us see Scripture as one continuous story—God’s story—revealing His plan of redemption and His faithfulness to His people from beginning to end.
We invite you to join us for both series as we open God’s Word together, learn, and grow as a family of faith. Whether you’re just beginning your journey with Christ or have been walking with Him for decades, there’s something in each study to encourage and inspire you.
